EA Brings NASCAR to Real Racing 3 on NVIDIA SHIELD

By NVIDIA - Thu, Mar 10, 2016

Now available to download for free on NVIDIA’s SHIELD family of devices including SHIELD Android TV, Real Racing 3 is one of the best looking and most feature-rich racing experiences available on Android. Now, EA’s flagship racing game is receiving a big new NASCAR update on SHIELD this week that brings a slew of all new race cars, events and excitement to the award-winning game. Here is a look at what’s new and worth checking out in Real Racing 3 on NVIDIA SHIELD.

Daytona 500 - The Iconic Race Track is in Real Racing 3

NASCAR’s Daytona 500 is arguably the most spectacular racing event on the planet and is even sometimes referred to as “The Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing”. The combination of intense speed and bum-and-run tactics employed by the sport’s participants make for a uniquely thrilling show. This is due in part to the qualities of the historic Daytona International Speedway venue, which is reproduced in all its glory in Real Racing 3. The long straights and steep banked corners of the track enable drivers to reach incredible speeds of up to 207 mph.

Compete in New Race Events in Real Racing 3

There are several new and returning events in this latest update to Real Racing 3. First is the Daytona 500 in which you can attempt to take four different race teams to victory. These are Hendrick Motorsports, Team Penske, Joe Gibbs Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing. The competition itself has you participating in 36 races over seven stages and completion rewards include in-game currency and gold coins that you can use to maintain and upgrade your vehicle. Successful players will also get to unlock special edition race cars and an entirely new event called The Sixth Element gives players the opportunity to unlock a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento.

Racing fans will be most thrilled about the four new and iconic cars included in the NASCAR update. As well as the aforementioned and rather stunning Lamborghini, there are three different models of the Chevrolet SS, Ford Fusions from Richard Petty Motorsports and Team Penske and Toyota Camrys from Joe Gibbs Racing and Sunoco. This pushes the total number of race cars available in Real Racing 3 to more than 140.
