Saints Row IV Headlines the Release of Three New AAA Games on NVIDIA SHIELD™

By Steve Klett - Tue, Feb 17, 2015

You want more AAA games and NVIDIA is listening! We’re making Saints Row IV available to play immediately on NVIDIA SHIELD, kicking off the release of a trio of popular titles over the next two weeks. Saints Row IV is the sequel to one of the most popular games right now in the GRID Games library, Saints Row: The Third, so we’re confident you will enjoy it. The game carries an 86 on Metacritic, and PC Gamer’s Rich McCormick called it “One of the most fun videogames I’ve ever played”.

Then, we’ve got two more incredible games lined up for the next two #SHIELDTuesdays: Alan Wake on 2/24, and Metro: Last Light Redux on 3/3. Collectively, these titles have garnered more than their fair share of Game of the Year and Editor’s Choice awards for gameplay innovations, visual achievements, and more. And soon you can experience them all for yourself on your SHIELD device of choice.

Saints Row is one of the most popular open world action series running, and it’s not hard to understand why after spending even a short time exploring Saint Row IV’s fictional city of Steelport. You play the leader of the Third Street Saints, a street gang that’s won control of the city. You’ve also been elected President of the United States, and you’re faced with dealing with a catastrophic alien invasion.

The setting alone is enough to compel you to play, and the go-anywhere, do-just-about-anything gameplay will keep you going for “just one more mission”. Just navigate to the GRID Games menu inside the SHIELD Hub app, select Saints Row IV from the list of available titles, and enjoy!

The GRID Games library now includes 38 games that you can play on-demand on your SHIELD device for free, and NVIDIA’s committed to adding new games every week. Use the hashtag #SHIELDTuesday on Twitter to stay up-to-date with new releases.

GRID is an on-demand gaming service that streams a library of popular games to SHIELD devices in high definition, with fluid frame rates and low latency. GRID is like Netflix for games, and it’s available exclusively to SHIELD owners in North America and most of Western Europe for free through June 30, 2015.
