With an expansive library of Android games and PC titles streamed via GRID, and three separate platforms that comprise the NVIDIA SHIELD family of devices, it can be difficult to stay on top of the latest and greatest releases for NVIDIA SHIELD.

Below we cover some of the best new SHIELD releases and look ahead at what’s coming down the pike for the Tegra X1-powered NVIDIA SHIELD.

Available for SHIELD tablet and SHIELD portable via NVIDIA GRID
Boasting rich dark fantasy visuals and characters and blisteringly-paced hack and slash combat, Capcom’s Devil May Cry is among the best action franchises out there.

Now SHIELD owners can stream the full version of Devil May Cry 4 to their device through NVIDIA GRID. The game introduces a wealth of all-new features most notably Nero’s devil bringer arm that allows players to wreck adversaries by snatching them from a distance and then beat them to a pulp.

Devil May Cry 4 joins a robust and constantly growing library of AAA PC games that can be instantly accessed via GRID, including action hits Dead Rising 2, the Batman: Arkham series, Darksiders 1 & 2, and Brutal Legend to name a few.

Available for both the SHIELD tablet and SHIELD portable, Overkill 3 is a visually slick sci-fi shooter that casts players as a member of the Resistance who must battle the oppressive forces of the Faction in a bleak vision of the future. The game not only plays great with the SHIELD controller, but features smooth 60fps gameplay and high-end graphical effects on Tegra-powered machines like ragdoll physics, advanced lighting and highly-detailed environments to wreak havoc in.

You can snag Overkill 3 on NVIDIA SHIELD for free. Other recent Android releases worth playing on SHIELD include Frozen Synapse Prime, Valiant Hearts: The Great War and Tales from the Borderlands: Episode Two: Atlas Mugged.

Multi-Controller Support for GameStream on SHIELD
The latest software update for the SHIELD tablet (upgrade 2.2) brings several enhancements including improved battery life while the device is idle and better charging performance overall and broader support for high-performance chargers.

But the most exciting feature introduced in the update is multi-controller support for playing games on NVIDIA SHIELD tablet through GameStream.

Blockbusters Coming Soon to SHIELD
There is a profusion of excellent games headed to NVIDIA SHIELD console when it launches later this year, many of which were announced at NVIDIA’s big Made to Game event. Upcoming games you can look forward to playing on the Tegra X1-powered SHIELD include Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, DOOM 3 BFG Edition and Resident Evil 5 among others.
