Independent Australian game developer Lightmare Studios is adding Star Trek: The Next Generation to its Android and PC digital trading card game (TCG) Infinity Wars. Through its partnership with Iconicfuture, and under license by CBS Consumer Products, Star Trek: The Next Generation-themed cards will phase their way into the game world. Players will be able to place their favorite Star Trek characters in the captain's chair and send them into battle. New factions, including Starfleet and the Klingon Empire will be introduced, along with an all-new play ability known as Piloting.

With over 2.5 million matches played since its public release in February, Infinity Wars features mechanics and tactics that revolutionize the way gamers play and interact with the game. Players can earn, sell, trade, buy, and win new cards for use within the game; pulling the best from the physical TCG world to make TCGs more accessible to a wider audience and paving a new path for the eSports community.

Infinity Wars features over 300 animated cards for players to trade and play with. A full deck builder allows for millions of custom deck combinations. Players can further customize their deck with battlefield skins. The game has over 120 single player and multiplayer quests to complete. Simultaneous gameplay opens up bluff and prediction mechanics never seen before in a traditional TCG.

The game is currently only available for PC and Mac, but the official site promises and Android version coming soon.
