NVISION: Own a Transformer Prime? Asus Giving Away Free GPS Kits

By NVISION - Mon, Jun 25, 2012

If you happen to own a Tegra 3-powered Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime -- which is now “the most popular Android-based tablet” according to its Taiwanese hardware manufacturer -- you can get a free GPS extension kit simply by applying for one from Asus here: http://event.asus.com/ASUSPad/TF201GPS

According to Asus, it is giving away free GPS dongles in response to some users experiencing issues with the GPS functionality of the Transformer Prime. The extension kits are designed to help boost your signal reception. And even if you haven’t encountered issues with your Asus TF201’s GPS, it doesn’t hurt to make that signal even stronger.

Those who want to receive a free GPS extension kit need to join the Asus membership program, register their Transformer Prime, and then they’ll be able to apply for a dongle.

On its official website, Asus noted that while they “are pleased to announce this offer as part of our commitment to customer service, but it does not replace, alter or amend any existing warranties you may have.”

But if you’re planning on claiming a dongle for your Transformer Prime you shouldn’t wait too long as the offer is only valid until July 31, 2012.
