If you missed out on NVIDIA’s Black Friday bundles for its SHIELD family of devices, it is not too late to take advantage of the deals on the SHIELD tablet and SHIELD portable. NVIDIA announced on Monday that it is extending its new SHIELD bundles for an extra day after Thanksgiving weekend for Cyber Monday.
From now until Monday, December 1 at 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time, you can pick up a new SHIELD tablet or SHIELD portable, both of which come with some worthwhile extras. Priced at $399, the SHIELD tablet bundle comes with a Tegra K1-powered 32 GB SHIELD tablet, a SHIELD controller and the Green Box gaming bundle featuring Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2 and Portal. That’s nearly $90 in free stuff.
The SHIELD portable bundle, which costs $199, comes with a Tegra 4-powered SHIELD portable, a carrying case and glossy black armor for customizing your SHIELD for a total savings of almost $60. Both the SHIELD tablet and SHIELD portable feature support for NVIDIA’s new GRID video game streaming service, which allows you to stream over 20 PC titles from the cloud including Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands 2, Dead Island and many others.
Every Tuesday, NVIDIA will also roll out at least one new game available through GRID, with the service last week adding Double Fine Productions’ Psychonauts and Volition’s Red Faction: Armageddon. NVIDIA GRID is currently in beta and is completely free until June of 2015. If you’re considering purchasing either SHIELD bundle, don’t wait long as the promotion will only be available for a few more hours.
