By Steve Klett - Thu, Jan 5, 2017

Assassin’s Creed. Far Cry. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Tom Clancy’s The Division. Watch_Dogs. These are some of Ubisoft’s most well-known PC game franchises and titles, and they are all coming to NVIDIA SHIELD.

The Best Ubisoft Games Come to SHIELD

Ubisoft will be bringing many of the biggest hits from its acclaimed catalog of games to GeForce NOW. Soon we’ll be unveiling specific titles for our members to play via purchase in the GeForce NOW store, or by linking GeForce NOW with their Ubisoft Accounts to play any titles that they already purchased there.

“Ubisoft is pleased to stream our award-winning games on SHIELD with GeForce NOW,” said Chris Early, Vice President, Digital Publishing at Ubisoft. “We’re impressed by the performance of NVIDIA’s new Pascal-powered service and the streaming quality that it will deliver for our new releases in 2017, such as For Honor as well as our deep catalog of games.”

A Great Lineup of Ubisoft Games

The first wave of Ubisoft titles to be released on GeForce NOW includes Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Far Cry Primal, Watch_Dogs, Watch_Dogs 2, For Honor, and The Crew.

For those of you that already purchased these games on Ubisoft’s online shop, GeForce NOW will link to your Ubisoft Account, when the service is available, and enable you to stream your games on SHIELD. So if, for example, you already purchased Watch_Dogs 2 on Ubisoft online shop you will be able to stream the game on SHIELD at no additional charge when it is available on GeForce NOW.

“GeForce NOW links to the Ubisoft online shop, which will provide single-sign-on access for members to their purchased games on Ubisoft Shop, as well as instant login to all of the Ubisoft Account services like matchmaking, multiplayer services, chat and achievements,” said Phil Wright, Director of Content Management at NVIDIA. “Linking to on-line libraries and game services is the number one request of existing GeForce NOW members.”

We’ll have more details to share about this feature soon. In the meantime let’s take a quick, closer look at a few titles from our first wave of Ubisoft releases.

Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed games have sold more than 105 million units worldwide, and the franchise is now established as one of the best-selling series ever. Recognized for having some of the richest, most engaging storytelling in the industry, throughout the years, Assassin’s Creed has transcended video games to offer new and immersive experiences on comic books, mobile games, novels and even movies, with the recent release of the feature film “Assassin’s Creed.”

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

You can play by yourself, with friends or players you get matched up with to take on bad guys that become more challenging as you progress in rank. The online play is supported through GeForce NOW’s account linking with Ubisoft Account.

Watch_Dogs and Watch_Dogs 2

The pair of Watch_Dogs games are set in Chicago and San Francisco and have you playing the role of a hacker trying to take down a highly technical surveillance system that’s attempting to control the lives of each city’s inhabitants. You’ll have to do things like hack into computer systems to modify the personal information of rivals to get them arrested, mess with traffic lights to disrupt traffic patterns and cause distractions to fulfil mission objectives.

For Honor

For Honor offers an engaging campaign and thrilling multiplayer. Players embody warriors of the three Great Factions – the bold Knights, the brutal Vikings and the enigmatic Samurai – fighting to the death on intense melee battlefields. The game’s innovative Art of Battle combat system puts players in total control of their warriors, allowing them to utilize the unique skills and combat style of each hero to vanquish all enemies who stand in their way. For Honor will be available on February 14, 2017.

The Crew

Based on the film of the same same, The Crew is an open world online racing game set in the United States. As Alex Taylor you must infiltrate various criminal groups via the underground racing community to uncover the truth behind your brother’s murder. The Crew features a 20-hour campaign, tons of mini-games to discover and multiplayer races in which you’ll compete for the best times against seven other racers.

Far Cry Primal

Far Cry Primal is set in the majestic land of Oros in 10,000 BC – the first frontier of man.
